Why you must Master your craft so that becoming wealthy is Automatic.

Author: Brian Campbell

As wealthy people, we travel frequently for business and for pleasure. We have two mandatory requirements for any hotel we stay at. They must have high-speed Internet AND a hot-tub. In the hot-tub we usually talk to interesting people and we get great insights that we are sharing with you in this column.

Robert & I were staying on the island of Kauai to get away and to get some work done. We were working around the clock, but every few hours we'd take a break in the hot-tub. We met a local guy named Mike who routinely stopped by the hotel to unwind after work.

We talked with Mike every night we were in Kauai and he was a lot of fun to be around. Mike was addicted to kite surfing. Kite surfing is a growing sport all over the world, but it is most popular in Hawaii. Mike talked about kite surfing every chance he had.

Sometimes you meet people that only talk about one thing and it is extremely boring. There was nothing boring about listening to Mike's detailed explanations of how he was doing triple flips in the air, swimming through shark infested waters, and jumping 40+ feet in the air! Mike had so much passion for kite surfing, it made us want to become kite surfers ourselves.

Mike invented the world's first adjustable kite control bar that allows him to change his kite according to different wind conditions. This allows Mike to use the same kite in situations where other people would need to alternate between multiple kites. Mike has a patent on his design and is looking to market it to kite surfers. This is an example of how you can turn your passion into a business. Any kite-surfer would love to have Mike's adjustable bar. Perhaps you've got an idea for a patent for some hobby or interest that you have...

Mike had a lot of interesting zen-like philosophies about life that he applied to kite surfing. Even though I don't know much about kite surfing, I learned a few interesting things from Mike. One of the most profound things that he talked about was how you need to master kite surfing to the point of having it become subconscious. You need to be able to operate your kite while surfing without consciously thinking about it.

Mike used this analogy: ??When you are first learning how to drive a car, you need to pay attention to every little thing that is happening. You need to keep your full attention on the road and your hands firmly on the wheel. If you take your attention off the road you can potentially die! After you've mastered the ability to drive, it becomes subconscious. You can be thinking about other things and even forget that you're driving and you still arrive safely at your destination.??

Kite surfing is the same way. When you are first learning how to kite-surf, you need to be fully focused on the kite. You need to be aware of everything that is happening. If you're not careful the kite string can cut a limb off, you can be swept out to sea, or you can get in other dangerous situations. Mike talked about how beginners need to be extremely cautious and pay complete attention because kite-surfing can be extremely dangerous. Mike talked about how he was able to be doing triple flips in the air and just by feeling his equipment he knew what the kite was doing. He doesn't need to consciously think about it, he just does it!

When it comes to being wealthy, you need to make all of the knowledge that it takes to become wealthy subconscious. Just like the guitar player who can play without thinking, or the athlete who plays their game perfectly, you need to train yourself to subconsciously do the things that will make you become wealthy. You can do this by immersing yourself in wealth-conscious education (you get plenty of free materials at MillionaireGift.com each month).

Make it a habit to listen to motivational recordings, read motivational books and magazines, and surround yourself with people who have what you would like to have. Go to your local bookstore and get some books on success, health, positive thinking, making money and study them (if you're not sure which ones to get, we've got some great suggestions for you here). By bombarding your mind with the types of knowledge to achieve total success, you subconscious mind will incorporate that information into your automatic habits and you'll be compelled towards success at a much more rapid pace.
