Ad Tracking: The Single Most Important Tool for Marketers

Author: Chris Monato

If you ask a lot of marketers what the most important tool in any online marketers arsenal would be many times theyll say, the autoresponder. Well Im here to tell that although the autoresponder is important I think there is one tool that is even more important. That tool is ad tracking.

Ad tracking is important because it allows you to see where your best returns on investment are coming from. By using ad tracking you will be able to determine which campaigns are making money and which ones are not worth a dime. You then could take that information and invest more of your valuable marketing budget on those campaigns that are winners.

By using ad tracking you can make changes to your ads and see which changes have an impact on the number of clicks youre getting. Perhaps you changed some wording in your ad or changed the color. Making slight changes to the copy or design of your ads can have a significant impact on the responses youll receive. By using ad tracking you can discover which combinations produce the best results.

Ive heard that only about 1% of marketers use ad tracking so by using it yourself you will give yourself a substantial competitive advantage over your competition. So in a nutshell ad tracking is important for anyone choosing to do business on the internet. It will save you both time and money as you will be able to discover where your advertising dollars are best spent. So if youre not tracking right now then start doing it and give your business the edge it needs to succeed.
